The final leg of the Wild Atlantic Etape takes us from Ennistymon to the city of the Tribes in Galway. The route takes us through the village of Liscannor and past the iconic Cliffs of Moher. The views here are truly breath – taking and it’s easy to see how this is Ireland’s #1 tourist attraction.
Leaving the height of the Cliffs behind us, the rest of the route sees the group cycling through the Burren region with the sea literally beside us, and it’s a beautiful flat stretch of coastal cycling all the way to Ballyvaughan where we’ll be stopping for lunch.
After lunch, the final leg of the Etape West takes us through the village of Kinvara and on into Galway City. Galway is a perfect place to finish four great days of coastal cycling. This year, 2018, Galway was designated a European Region of Gastronomy and for 2019 has been named by National Geographic Travel as a top destination to visit. It is a busy, bustling and compact city with an abundance of bars and restaurants to allow you experience the very best of Irish hospitality.
